Transfer event Wednesday 2nd February 2022

I am presenting the early findings and direction of my PhD thesis at my transfer event. This is open to the public and you are cordially invited.....

I'm mid way through doing a PhD looking at the interaction between research, teaching and public engagement. Next Weds at 14.00 is my transfer event which is open to the public, please feel free to join me by zoom if you'd like there is a link to register below. It lasts about half an hour and you can ask Q and A too.

It's a sink or swim moment as my written work and presentation will be assessed. If I pass I get to carry on to completion in 2024.

More about the Transfer event: 

My name is Lucy Beattie. I am a PhD Candidate at the University of the West of Scotland in Paisley. This transfer event will present an overview of my thesis relating to lecturer perspectives on the intersection of teaching, research and public engagement in relation to undergraduate teaching and learning. Initial data findings drawn from phenomenological interviewing and auto-ethnography will be presented with specific focus on STEM panel B disciplines namely; Chemistry; Mathematics; Physics; and Engineering.
